Hi! Glad you're curious about the face behind DollhouseDesign!

My name is Mirjam Muilwijk, married to Pim and mother of three kids. I'm a specialist gifted children in primary education for two days a week. I run DollhouseDesign together with my husband next to my `regular` job. To support us with our activities we employ multiple employees.

How it all started
I bought a second-hand dollhouse for my three year old daughter's birthday in October 2017. I started learning how to use a 3D-printer after my husband proposed to buy one. It became my hobby to create miniatures of furniture and accessories I saw around me. The ball really started rolling when I started posting photos to Instagram and in October 2018 my hobby became my job: DollhouseDesign was born.

Designing new products
All miniatures have been designed and drawn by me using 3D drawing software. Designing a new product takes a lot of time. Usually it takes several prototypes before I am satisfied with the product. Do you have ideas or suggestions or would you like a specific product? Please let us know by sending us an email. Please note that this process can take up to half a year.
